THE GOLDEN AGE OF TRAVEL

3,000 km in a few days...

On October 4, 1883, the first train journey to Constantinople crossed Europe all day and night from Paris Gare de l'Est to Bucharest. Passengers then took another train to Bulgaria and then a ship to their destination via the Black Sea and the Bosphorus. Direct access by train came in 1889.

The Logo

The hot-stamped Orient Express logo elegantly personalizes each illustration.

A Little History

Appearing at the end of the 19th century, the ancestor of advertising and the emblem of the distinguished traveler, luggage labels extolled the merits of destination locations, maritime companies and railway brands.

Illustrations

Decorative two-dimensional scenes made by hand, from drawing to colouring, cutting and gluing.

Sticker Anatomy

Poetic and vintage illustrations printed on a vinyl base, imagined by the young artist Victor Cadene.
